  • Is the trainer game "Game Show Presenter" worth using?

Posted by admin on December 1st, 2009 and filed under game trainer | 1 Comment »

There is a software program for trainers that uses a game show format – complete with cheesy host, flashing lights, and music – to present information in a quiz format.

It is sometimes used by teachers, corporate trainers, etc.
I’m looking at using it for training preschool teachers.

Has anyone been to a training or class where this was used? Did you find it to be fun and engaging? Or annoying?

If you have not seen the software in action, do you think you would enjoy participating in a meeting that used this style of training, or not?

    Any feedback welcome!

The web site for Game Show Presenter lists more than 100 testimonials from trainers and teachers and quite a few case studies.

I personally used the PLUS Edition of the software last month in a conference presentation to about a dozen people. It worked great to increase participation and attention. The session was after lunch, when people tend to get drowsy. So a game show activity using my review material as the questions was a great way to keep people engaged. I did not see anyone use laptops, phones or other devices during my presentation.
