  • Is SeaWorld guilty of manslaughter in the latest death by Tillikum the killer whale on its trainer?

    Dawn Brancheau?

    Edit:

In 1991, Tillikum, as the orca whale is called, was one of three whales who killed a young trainer, Keltie Byrne, at Sealand of the Pacific in Canada. Again, the incident took place in front of a helpless audience and the trainer was dragged around the pool in the killer whale’s jaws.http://www.thefirstpost.co.uk/60163,news-comment,news-politics,not-the-first-time-orca-whale-has-killed-someone-seaworld-tilikum
IMO Tillikum should not be put to death. He’s an orca, a "Killer Whale." That’s what ocra’s do when they’re in the ocean; kill things. Orca’s even kill great white sharks! That ought to tell you something. SeaWorld needs to release Tillikum. I don’t care how smart orca’s are, they’re still "killer whales" and need to be respected as such. Not only is SeaWorld negligent, they’re stupid!
So you’re going to blame Tillikum for killing Dawn Brancheau? ( o _ 0 ) Tillikum has killed two other people in the past! Dawn is now his 3rd victim! SeaWorld knew this. Tillikum should have been released back into the ocean a long time ago. He does not belong in captivity. Has SeaWorld ever considered this?! ( o _ 0 )
I’m apologise for sounding mean, but they’re a bunch of bumbling idiots to let yet another needless death occur by a pedatory mammal.

Yes they are responsible. If they would have left Willy alone instead of dragging him out to live in a tiny aquarium to be oggled at by a bunch of pompous brats and their mommies and daddies, that woman would still be alive.

Humans, it’s about time we realized our place. Animals are not meant to be held captive.

They WILL fight back, and it will be OUR fault.

No it’s not SeaWorld’s fault, it’s the whale who killed the person. this should teach humans a valuable lesson that wild animals belong in the wild..

Predatory wild animals should NOT be trained and paraded in front of obnoxious visitors. Seaworld and other organizations that exploit animals, don’t get this. They won’t be satisfied until that whale leaps out of the pool and attacks a crowd of visitors lol.

TO ASKER: STOP BEING SUCH AN IGNORANT PERSON AND FACE FACTS!

SeaWorld ONLY takes animals that have problems which prevent them from surviving in the wild, Tilikum is a HUGE whale which has problems with it’s strength, in that it doesn’t know how much it has.

Of course we’re going to blame the whale for killing Dawn Brancheau! The whale did it!

AND get the idea out of your head about "helpless audience" and when it happened. The audience didn’t realise a problem at first, and the audience was no bigger than 60 odd people, it didn’t happen during a main show.
