Put newspaper in them ~ it absorbs the water

I agree, I’d stuff them with newspaper (to the shape that they should be) & then dry them near the radiator.

you can tumble dry them, but stay near the drier as they can jam and burn out the belt

Stuff them with newspaper. The paper draws the wet out – it`ll take a couple of days.

Well done on the run !!!
You need to wash them first – a bit of Persil (or whatever you use ?) in the washing machine.

Then tumble dry or put them on the radiator.

They will have a lovely lived- in -feel ,when you are done !!!!

Stuff them with paper to keep their shape and put them in your airing cupboard or by a radiator.
I hope you had fun doing the run.

Put newspaper in them, DON’T put them in the tumble drier. Heat from drier weakens the glue that holds the ‘upper’ and ’sole’ together, end up with expensive flip flops. ( used to manage a sports shop)

The best way is as follows:

      1. Remove the shoelaces
      2. Remove the insoles
      3. Clean all the dirt off with a damp cloth from the surface of the shoes – also any from the inside of the shoe
      4. Stuff them with lots of newspaper – this will absorbe all the moisture
      5. Put them by the radiator or in the airing cupboard – ideally somewhere warm
      6. Keep them there overnight
      7. The next day, remove the wet newspapers and repeaat steps 4-6 again
      8. Do this three or 4 times or until the shoes are dry

You will end up with your shoes back to normal.

DO NOT PUT THEM IN THE DRYER OR THE WASHING MACHINE – THIS WILL WEAKEN THE GLUE ON THE SHOES AND DAMAGE THEM.
